dreamers.

We were  d r e a m e r s

both of us

 U n p r a c t i c a l
reserved
full of great theories never put to test
And like all dreamers
 a s l e e p  to the waking world

Disliking our fellow men
we craved  a f f e c t i o n
but  s h y n e s s kept impulse dormant
until the heart was touched

When that happened
the  h e a v e n s  opened
and we felt
that we had the whole wealth
of the  u n i v e r s e  to give.
